Seaweed Dress

This series is inspired by the concept of seaweed as a sustainable resource. Driven by a deep concern for the environmental impact of fast fashion, Sarah Martindale addresses the issue of microfibers polluting our oceans—an injustice to the planet that already provides us with natural, fully recyclable materials for clothing. Through this project, Martindale seeks to highlight the potential of seaweed and other renewable resources as viable, eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic textiles, underscoring the need for a fashion industry that respects and preserves our environment.
